Venise, Serenissima sublimissime - Between Land and Sea
As a privileged witness of Venetian’s day-to-day life, I embarked in the early morning with market gardeners, deliverymen, tugs, and harbour pilots. I also boarded the police and fire units, day and night.

For 3 years, I gave time to time to share the four seasons with the Venetians and the lagoon. I still get regularly lost in this tangle of 177 canals and 442 bridges, but Venice is probably the only place where it's worth getting lost!

During this promenade, I wish to make you love what I know, and make you know the ones I love.

Philip made his first steps on the banks of the Loire, between Beauce and Sologne. He discovers La Trinité-sur-Mer at the age of 4 when his father transmits him his first passion: sailing. The need for sea will never leave him! His paternal grandmother gave him, at the age of 9, his first device that allows him to discover his second passion: photography. In the early 80s, Philip finally discovers that he can live on his two passions: photographing to navigate and navigate for photographing. Appointed Painter of the Navy in 1991, he shows the major events related to the world of the sea in order to preserve the memory of contemporary maritime dimension, as wished by Richelieu when creating the Corps of Painter of the Navy. This title gives the right to wear the uniform, and equivalent rank of Lieutenant Commander for holders Painters, and allows artists to join the famous small anchor their signature.
