Black & White - Page 2
Black and white is linked to the history of photography, to its origin. From the time when color could not be transcribed on photographic paper, the photographer had to reproduce in black and white what he had seen in colors! Everything had to be done in shades of grey, shadows and light.
It is these intentions given by the photographer to his printer in the secret of a darkroom that Philip Plisson very quickly identified and appreciated in Beken, his master in the matter. Whether it is in the fall of a spinnaker, in a sail or in a side-by-side between two legendary sailing ships, black and white photography remains contemporary and always timeless.
