The Ile Vierge lighthouse, off northern Finistère, is the highest in Europe, and even the world, because it rises 82.50 meters above sea level. It was built in 1897, right next to the first, which was insufficient to mark out this extremely dangerous area. If you have the courage to climb its 397 steps, you will have an exceptional panoramic view of the Abers and the coast of the shipwreckers, from the island of Batz to the island of Ouessant.
