Nowadays, the kimono is only worn very rarely, and mainly during official ceremonies. If the Obi is still worn, it is with a Yukata, a straight-cut Japanese cloth that is very similar to a kimono but in a lighter cloth. The Yukata used to be reserved for baths and the home, but is now worn on the street and at summer festivals.
