This monumental statue by Jules-Charles Le Bozec, at the entry of the Gulf of Morbihan, more precisely in Locmariaquer, represents the Virgin and Child. Standing 2.70 metres high and made entirely of granite, it refers to the legend of Notre Dame de Kerdro ("Welcome back" in Breton), according to which the Virgin appeared to a fishing boat, showing it the way to turn around. The crew were thus saved from a violent storm.
